Who is
The Wine Writer?

My love of wine started with a champagne tasting twenty-three years ago and evolved into a lifelong obsession. My experience in the hospitality industry, including owning and operating my own establishments, exposed me to many wines, brands and wine experiences and ultimately, I knew this is where my career path lay.

I spent several years studying, completing the Professional Wine Studies course at AUT, Introductory and Certified Sommelier qualifications and WSET Levels 1 through 4, graduating with the Diploma in 2018.

My love of wine and travel has seen me visit many wine regions including Piedmont, Tuscany, the Rhone Valley, Champagne, Bordeaux, Oregon, Napa Valley, Sonoma, and regions throughout New Zealand.

I am the National Sales Manager for Prophet’s Rock Wines from Central Otago and I also work with a handful of small New Zealand wine brands. Writing the wine column for M2 and M2Woman magazines since January 2019 has been an amazing experience and I now consult on several wine lists and provide establishments with extensive wine training.
